Vinadic's culture

VINADIC – “The one who builds dreams”

At the end of the year, everyone goes back and forth to complete their work, so that they can spend time with family and relatives. For “construction workers”, following the project all year round, the end of the year is the busiest time, the hardest time and also the most stories to tell.

At the end of the year, officials – engineers – workers of Vietnam Construction Investment Development Joint Stock Company (Vinadic) are still busy completing grades for many large projects in the country. It can be mentioned here that the major and key projects that Vinadic participates in such as: the Van Don international airport project (Quang Ninh), the Cat Linh elevated railway project (Ha Dong), the VinFast project (Ha Dong) Hai Phong), Vietinbank Tower project, etc..

With projects spread across three regions, the Vinadic have been present on all fronts. “Having many projects to go means you have a lot of work to do, not sitting around for a long time. It is normal for construction workers to follow the project all year round, ensuring the progress is normal, so they rarely have the opportunity to visit family and relatives, when they have important work at home, they ask for permission to return. Many times, we brothers joke that we are more together than we are with our wives,” said Mr. Tran Cao Phong, project manager of VietinBank Tower.

Workers at VinFast – Hai Phong (September 2018)

This is not only the story of Mr. Phong but also of many other Vinadic brothers who are working at other construction sites.

“Yesterday VinFast was still very hot, after waking up one night to see winter coming, that means there is only a little time left until the end of the year, construction people like us will be able to go home. It is still lucky to be able to go home, but many construction brothers sometimes have to stay at the construction site because the project is about to finish. Looking at the buildings that are getting higher and higher, being completed, you are automatically comforted,” said Mr. Pham Van Thuong, a machine room officer at the Van Don International Airport project.

Present at Archimedes project – Inter-school system invested by AMACCAO, we met Mr. Dao Dan – Project Manager. Mr. Dan said that he had just taken over the Archimedes project after the VinFast project in Hai Phong was completed in November 2018.

“From now until the end of the year, we will complete the assembly of the frame of the classrooms and the principal house. With pre-engineered pre-stressed concrete technology that Vinadic is applying, our builders can shorten the time a lot while still ensuring the progress and quality for the project. Hopefully, we will complete it before the Lunar New Year so that we can spend time with our family and loved ones,” said Mr. Dan.

At the Vietinbank Tower construction site – where there are about 20 Vinadic engineers, not to mention the number of workers who are stationed, these days are busier. According to the plan, the investor asked Vinadic staff to assemble large GRC – fiberglass reinforced concrete panels from the 11th floor to the 13th floor. Pressure on time, the Vinadic brothers here are concentrate all human resources to assemble large-sized GRC panels, complete before the Lunar New Year.

In the late afternoon, Hanoi was drizzling with rain, standing in the middle of the tallest building in Vietnam, looking at the assembled and rising GRC panels, I unintentionally heard somewhere like this:

“Làn gió thơm hương đêm về

quanh khu nhà tôi mới

cất xong chiều qua

Tôi đứng trên tầng gác thật cao

nhìn ra chân trời xa xa

Từ bao mái nhà đèn hoa sáng ngời

bầu trời thêm vào muôn vì sao sáng

Tôi ngắm bao gia đình lửa ấm tình yêu

nghe máu trong tim hoà niềm vui lâng lâng lời ca”.

Thank you, those who “go to build tall houses forever” are rolling day and night, eating and sleeping under construction sites.
